Wolfe's Market on Route 66 used to be a market where you would go to buy your produce on your trip to send home to relatives who could not get such wonderful fruits. I grew up in Ohio and citrus delights such as oranges and lemons and grapefruits were a treat to be had at holidays. The market was established in 1917 and has been sold so that a restaurant can take over the building. It was in its fourth generation of family owners when sold. When you go in check out the beautiful mural of Claremont landmarks by Jeff Faust. The neon sign remains and has been a staple on Route 66 for generations located at 160 W.
